blueberry pancakes and long naps

The east coast got hit with a pretty big snowstorm Tuesday night, lasting through last night.  We got about 10 inches of snow where we live!  Although the lights flickered a bit last night, we did not experience any power outages – thank goodness!  Here are a couple pics:

(the plowed part is the parking lot… NOT the street, which has yet to be plowed!)

All the snow and difficult driving conditions made today a snow day!!  J and I slept in late, did a workout video (which nearly wiped me out!), and enjoyed blueberry pancakes and eggs for breakfast. While he worked, I took a long, much needed nap.  We are getting ready to go outside and attempt to dig out the car so that we can go to our last childbirthing class tonight.  I love to shovel snow, but probably won’t be able to do too much.  So, I’ll stick to cleaning off the car with the brush.  But it will be nice to enjoy some time outside.

So today, I’m thankful for all the things that make a snow day absolutely wonderful!
